Starting the first delivery from Hamburg at 0835Z 6500 lbs of cargo loaded aboard and ready to depart when Rundek shows up in a C-97 Taxiing to the runway, Snow also appears in a DC-5

Ready to take off from runway 05 This is pretty much all that you can see of the runway from the cockpit... I tried taking off but almost lost control Another (more successful) takeoff attempt

Leaving the airport, Snow is also taking off just behind me Keeping the engines running at max power so I don't sink right back into the ground Above Hamburg

Still heading for Brunkendorf VOR (or should I say Dannenberg beacon?) Radio chatter - Rundek is back, and URF is here too In the northern corridor

Closer to Berlin the fog rolls back a bit Approaching Berlin and descending Arriving over Berlin

There's some other traffic ahead of me already, though it's very difficult to see. But strange thing was that plane seemed to be heading right into the Soviet sector :o Approach lights at Tegel visible to my right

I almost swerved off the runway on landing but made it down intact... I'm still not used to flying taildraggers :/ Clearing the runway as Rundek lands Offloading cargo at Tegel
