Our last fly-in of the year 2008 was at Luke173's location of choice, revisiting a former fly-in location of La Paz, Bolivia. With more than three years since the last fly-in here, the difference in scenery quality (from V7 to V9) was especially impressive. A fair amount of people showed up for the event despite the challenging weather, as the surroundings of La Paz offered a variety of interesting places to visit, from the mountain valleys east of the city to a spectacular (if slightly inaccurate) sloped runway near Lake Titicaca and the Peruvian border.
