| Heading west towards Laja | ||
| Somewhat unrealistically, Laja Airport seems to be located in a large crater... X-Plane loves doing that to South American airports for some reason! | ||
| Slowly descending towards the airfield (got to be careful in order to avoid vortex ring state) | ||
| I actually made it down intact after circling the runway a few times | ||
| Back at Laja in a Piper Malibu, with the airport at the correct altitude this time (turning off runway flattening did the trick) | ||
| Starting the Piper's engine... | ...and taxiing to runway 08 | |
| Flaps will probably be required due to the high takeoff altitude | ||
| Starting the takeoff run | ||
| I ended up using most of the runway, only barely avoiding the treetops after takeoff | Keeping the nose up, those treetops are still a hazard | |
