| Still parked on the ramp at KAUS: at this point the server kicked everyone offline. When I managed to reconnect the weather had changed a bit. |
Taxiing to the runway, windy day |

Departing Austin |
Headed for Houston |

| I think this town is Bastrop but I'm not sure |
The weather gets worse closer to Houston, but I had it easy, URF was reporting very low overcast ceilings. |
The sky clears up for a while as I follow ATC vectors to the north |
|
|
|
| Low visibility near Houston - that's actual fog, not framerate fog :D |
Flying through Houston - those ATC vectors were very nice, took me on a real tour of the city :) |

Parked on the ramp and shutting down |
Next I downloaded Corporal Cool's great Lone Star livery for XPFreeware's 737 and started making a flight plan to New Orleans. The other 737 in this pic is UIO Spotter. |

|
| A hovering 7437? I guess that's because most people will see it as a 747, but on my screen it's a 737 :D |
Ready to take off |

| Setting course for New Orleans |
As I climbed towards cruise altitude I got some rather puzzling comments from Houston Center. Apparently on their screen it looked like I was doing over 1000 knots! Here's a cockpit screenshot of the situation, nothing out of the ordinary :o |
Climbing to 18000... either ATC had a malfunction in their scope or I had one hell of a tailwind :D (hmm, wonder if my 15 second loading pauses had something to do with the matter?)
