| Leaving Khorog behind | ||
| I'm still on the same fuel I got from Dushanbe, but it should be enough to make it back even with all the additional detours | ||
| For the return trip along the valley, 13000 feet should be high enough | ||
| Now I know it's a left turn along this valley to get to Dushanbe | Behind me, IDX is flying the same route back to UTDD | |
| We also have someone approaching from the other direction, coming in low | IDX on my 6 (hey, that almost rhymes) | |
| That's fast! Someone's doing at least 300 knots if not more! | Meanwhile I'm forced to descend because of icing | |
| Crap! My engines froze up | ||
| Quickly restarted the engines while avoiding the mountainsides | ||
| Now I only have to deal with the fact that during the engine problems I took a wrong turn... | ...and the terrain is getting higher quickly, all while I'm trying to recover from the airspeed lost to the twin engine out situation! | |
| I managed to turn around just in time (no screenshots though, it got hairy enough that there wasn't time for pics) | ||
