One of the reasons it took us this long to have a fly-in in Tibet was the lack of airport data for the area: the default X-Plane airport data did not contain Lhasa Airport, so I had to make a layout from scratch using WorldEditor and Google Earth in order to make this event happen. Some custom scenery could be converted from MSFS however, giving us some scenery objects to look at in addition to the already spectacular V9 default scenery for the area. After the flight from Kashgar, and a brief visit to central Lhasa, I joined the eastbound convoy that ended up flying to nearby Linshi Airport, a notoriously difficult approach in real life apparently. All those low clouds certainly didn't help in X-Plane either!
